ok (:
something completely different: have you ever heard the company name "monsanto"?!
just curious how well known it is in Mexico at this point of time and how much the media talks/criticises it?!

It does indeed work, thank you. However, only one version of this widget can be installed. So, it is either the Dark or the Wood but not both simultaneously.

no problem at all. you are welcome and thank you for your repl(y)ies!
always a pleasure to be of assistance (:

it is because both widgets are build from the same source code and therefore use and initialize the same system process, which means that your system only allows and handles one active at a time. however there are ways to get both running simultaneously, but that wouldnīt make much sense, since software is build with reclusive repositorative multi-functionality.

example: web-browser
if firefox is running the user can open new tabs or a new window withing the running application by using the option of choice as a build in function withing the framework of functions, instead of opening the application again and again. that way it is one primarily running process and your computers memory does not need to undergo the same calculations again for the main process itself that is already calculated.

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation. I simply wanted both of your widget mods in my widget library. I collect mods for the OS X (Snow Leopard and Lion) and the iOS.

sure thing (:
you can put both widgets in the location i mentioned earlier.
if you intent to use both simultaneously that wonīt be possible, since changes at least to one widget are required. but you always can reinstall the one you prefer at the present time. a matter of minutes (:

Interestingly enough, both of those modded widgets along with the original Unit Converter do load and run simultaneously.

I agree. It is the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74) with no Dashboard.app mods.

P.S. The dark version looks great while the wood one appears as a blank in the Dashboard.

i forgot to mention the obvious last step: reinstall "Unit Converter[wood].wdgt" again to make it work.
sorry! please let me know if it worked for you (:

thank you very much for both your comment(s) and favorite iDarwin!
glad you like this mod (:

the wooden mod works fine one 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7
i re-downloaded and gave it another try on all systems after your comment.

widgets are stored in /User/Username/Library/Widgets if you manually install them, which is the case here. delete both from this directory and then empty out your trash.
after that open "terminal.app" and type or copy "killall Dock" (without the quotes) and hit enter. do the same command again with "killall Finder" and it should work!
